Mary E. Michaels

Mary E. Michaels, 74, of Brownsville, died Saturday, July 5, 2014 at Hospice Home of Hope. She was born February 16, 1940 in Fond du Lac, the daughter of John “Jack” and Frances Everix Harlow. She graduated in 1958 from Goodrich High School. On October 3, 1959 she married Edward J. Michaels at St. Mary’s Church in Fond du Lac. Mary was a Patient/Physician Advocate for Agnesian Healthcare for 41 years, retiring in 2010. She was also an integral part of the Samaritan Clinic. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Lomira. Mary enjoyed going to the casino and especially loved spending time with her family.



She is survived by her husband, Edward; four children, Julie (Brian) Waas, Jim Michaels, Christine (Joel) Graf, Angie (Ryan) Pentland; nine grandchildren, Kelly Jo, Peter, Erika, Taylor, Hannah, Morgan, Coleton, Josh, and Jessica; two great grandchildren, Quintin and Miles. She is further survived by one brother, John Jr. (Mary) Harlow; two sisters-in-law, Mary Etta (Roger) Shady and Jean (Bob) Hewitt; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Marlene Zulauf, Jackie Leonhart, and Margaret Ogle; two sisters-in-law, Joyce Krueger and Judy Redman; three brothers-in-law, Don Zulauf, Merlyn Krueger, and Bob Redman.



A Celebration of Life will be held from 4:00 – 8:00 pm on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at Brownsville Community Center, 871 Main Street, Brownsville, WI. Cremation has taken place.



In lieu of flowers, memorials in Mary’s name can be made to the Dale Michels Center for Heart Care.
