Mary Frances "Fran" Bachman

Mary Frances "Fran" Bachman, 95, a resident of Touchstone Living Center for the past six months, died Thursday, February 20, 2014. She was born April 21, 1918, in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Henry and Elizabeth Walgenbach Jagdfeld. On November 26, 1947, she married Gerald E. Bachman in S. Mary's Church in Fond du Lac. He preceded her in death on December 31, 1980. Fran was a member of Holy Family Parish-Sacred Heart Church where she was a former member of the Altar & Rosary Society. She loved children and babysat for her great-grandchildren until she was 85 years old. She loved baking, cooking, bowling, camping, and playing cards. Fran is survived by six daughters, Jane (Chuck) Simpson of Ormond Beach, FL, Janet (Jim) Ganske of Tampa, FL, Barbara (Ralph) Entringer of Fond du Lac, Karen (Special Friend Mike Laudolff) Bachman of Fond du Lac, Sharon (Marvin) Draves of Fond du Lac, and Mary Kay (Bill) Buranich of Oshkosh. She is further survived by 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, a sister, Helen Jagdfeld of Mankato, MN, and a sister-in-law, Helen Jagdfeld of Fond du Lac. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a stillborn infant, a grandson, Ryan Entringer, and three brothers, Clarence, Leo, and Edward Jagdfeld.



Visitation for Mary Frances "Fran" Bachman will be on Sunday, February 23, 2014, from 3 to 5 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, February 24th at 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart Church, 678 Western Avenue, Fond du Lac. Entombment will follow in the Chapel of The Risen Christ Mausoleum, Calvary Cemetery.
