Mary H. Lewis

Mary H. Lewis, 92, formerly of N5460 Hickory Road, died Monday, April 5, 2010, at St. Francis Home where she had been a resident for the past five years. She was born January 1, 1918, in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Peter and Susan Lisowe Schmitz. On May 8, 1946, she married Stephen V. Lewis at St. Mary's Church in Fond du Lac. Mary was a member of Holy Family Parish, and a member of the Daughters of Isabella. She enjoyed sewing and taking care of her children and grandchildren. Surviving is her husband of almost 64 years, Stephen, a daughter, Mary (David) Charapata of Lomira, a son, John (Barbara) Lewis of Minnetrista, MN, six grandchildren and two great-granddaughters, and one great grandson. Her parents and two brothers preceded her in death.



Visitation for Mrs. Mary H. Lewis will be on Wednesday, April 14, 2010, from 1 to 2 pm at St. Francis Nursing Home Chapel, 33 Everett Street, Fond du Lac. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2 pm on Wednesday at the chapel. The Rev. Joseph Wolf OFM Cap. will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
