Mary Helen Abitz Koch

Mary Helen Abitz Koch, 71, of Fond du Lac, went to be with her beloved family on Thursday, December 30, 2021. She was born on January 15, 1950, in Ashland, WI. A daughter of Iris and Russel Taylor. She married Ronnie Abitz and had three children, Ronnie L Abitz, Jr., Jessie O. Abitz, and Iris M. Abitz. She later married Joe Koch on May 2, 1998.



Mary enjoyed going camping with family and friends, hanging out with her cats and listening to Elvis. She loved hanging out with family and getting her nails did.



Survivors include her husband, Joe; her children Ronnie, Jessie, Iris and Jenny Guell and grandchildren William and Raelynn. Her siblings Pat (Joe) Walesewicz, Duane “Mike” Liz Taylor, Carol (Jarrett) Anderson, Wanda (Ken) Schmidt, Tim (Corinne) Taylor; and sister-in law, Mary Taylor and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Robert P. Taylor; Ronnie Abitz Sr; son Charles Abitz, Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.



Visitation will take place on Thursday, January 6, 2022, from 10:00 AM until 12 noon. A funeral service will follow the visitation at the funeral home at 12 PM. Mary will be carried to her final resting place by pallbearers Rob Taylor, Joey Walesewicz, Cody Schmidt, Boomer Shufelt, Rich Pergande, Tom Schmitz, Jesse Backhaus. Entombment will take place at Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park.



Family is asking for visitors to use personal discretion in masking per covid safety measures.
