Mary J. Hintz, 96, of Fond du Lac, died Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at St. Agnes Hospital. She was born March 6, 1922 in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Byron and Vaden Tate Kingsbury. She graduated from Fond du Lac High School. On December 25, 1943 she married Leslie F. Hintz at Camp Crowder, MO and he preceded her in death on January 28, 2011. Mary was a member of Church of Our Saviour. Along with her husband she owned and operated Skateland Roller Rink (now Marghael’s) from 1945 -1976. She enjoyed roller skating, dancing, and was a great care giver. Mary was known for her excellent fish fries for the neighborhood at the Shawano Lake cottage.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda (Ray Omland) Hintz of Fond du Lac; her son, Arthur (Claudia) Hintz of Fond du Lac; a special niece, Nancy Park and her family of Rockford, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leslie; three sisters, Ruth Bugg, Charlotte Remminger, and Virginia Kingsbury; two brothers, Lloyd Kingsbury and Robert Kingsbury.
Private family services are being held with burial in Estabrooks Cemetery.

The family extends a special thank you to the staff and residents of Lakeview Place for their kindness and friendship for the past eight years. She loved every day there and they truly were her family.
