MARY JUDITH ROHDEMary Judith (Lawless) Rohde, 77, of 15 Arvey Lane passed away peacefully on April 7, 2008 at her home. She was born March 22, 1931 in Fond du Lac to John and Isabelle (Thomas) Lawless. On August 8, 1953 she married Cliff Rohde at Presentation Parish in North Fond du Lac. They shared 50 happy years of marriage before Cliff's death on December 31, 2003.Mary was raised on a farm on Kinker Road and attended Presentation School and St. Mary Springs. She received her teaching degree from Oshkosh Teachers College where she met her true love, Cliff. She taught two years in Waukesha before becoming Mrs. Rohde and moving to Rosendale and then to Fond du Lac. She and Cliff raised six children, Mary Jo Rohde (Dan Stroik), Cathy (Joel) Springman, Mike (Jan) Rohde, Jane (Jim) McCullough, Beth (Randy) Karsten, and Chris (Bill) Aerts. Mary was a long-time member of St. Joseph's "“ Holy Family Parish. She played bridge for over 50 years and volunteered at Loaves and Fishes and Galloway House.Mary was a devoted Christian wife, mother and grandmother. She loved to read and play cards with her ten grand children; Tyler and Jackson Rohde, Kellie and Colleen Mc Cullough, Hayley and Riley Springman, Andrew and Erin Karsten, and Grace and Henry Aerts. Mary is survived by her children and grandchildren, two sisters, Margaret Baranick of Venice, FL and Isabelle Bartecki of Oakbrook, IL, and sister-in-law, Dorothy (John) Lawless of Richmond, VA.Mary was preceded in death by her infant son, John Joseph Rohde, her beloved husband Cliff Rohde, her brother, John, sister-in-law Helen Rohde, and brother-in-law Rodney Berg.



VISITATION: Friday, April 11, 2008 from 4 to 7 P.M. Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Friends may call on Saturday from 9:30 A. M to 10:15 at the funeral home.FUNERAL: Saturday, April 12, 2008 Funeral services will be held at 10:15 A.M. at the funeral home and a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M. at Holy Family Church, 271 4th Street Way, Reverend Patrick Heppe will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Charles Cemetery, Town of Taychedah.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Fond du Lac Foundation "“ Cliff and Mary Rohde Scholarship fund or Camp Odayin, a summer camp for kids with heart disease.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
