Mary Jean Tudahl, 60, of Fond du Lac, died Tuesday, February 21, 2012, at St. Agnes Hospital. She was born December 10, 1951, in LaCrosse, the daughter of Herman and Lucinda Miner Tudahl. Mary Jean was a 1970 graduate of Logan High School in LaCrosse. She then received her Bachelor's Degree in Business from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse. Directly after her graduation from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse, she was employed by J.F. Ahern Company as a purchasing agent. She later received her Nursing degree from Marian University, after which she was employed by Villa Loretta Nursing Home, Harbor Haven Nursing Home, and Fond du Lac County Home Healthcare. Mary Jean was a member of Immanuel Trinity Lutheran Church. She loved all animals, especially dogs, and loved watching birds. She was a petting zoo volunteer at the Villa Loretta Nursing Home. Surviving is her loving husband and partner, Bruce Wilkum, and two sons, Allan and Nicholas Wilkum, both of Fond du Lac. She is further survived by two brothers, John (Colleen) Tudahl, and Frank (Pat) Tudahl, both of LaCrosse, a half-brother, Preston Thompson Junior of Wisconsin Dells, and a half-sister, Wilma Thompson, of Madison. Her parents preceded her in death.
Visitation for Mary Jean Tudahl will be on Saturday, February 25, 2012, from 11 AM to 2 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Avenue, Fond du Lac. Funeral services will be at 2 PM at the funeral home on Saturday. Rev. Shari Routh will officiate and cremation will follow the traditional services. A memorial has been established in Mary Jean's name.
