Mary L. Duel

The following was written by Mary shortly before she died:



I was born on April 8, 1948 in Fond du Lac to Floyd and Geraldine (Sperbeck) Diener. I married John “Chewy” Duel on May 25, 1968. I earned my angels wings on Sunday, April 19, 2015.



My favorite things are being with my grandchildren; I love them so much. Chewy and I enjoy 4-wheeling, watching the Packers, Brewers and NASCAR.



My surviving family includes my husband Chewy, my daughter Shelly Duberstein of Kennewick, WA; I miss her today as much as the day she left. I am also survived by my other daughter Christy (Chad) Foeckler of Franklin, WI; she is my rock and we had our laughs and our cries. My grandchildren; Taylor and Joey Duberstein of Kennewick, WA and Cade and Camdyn Foeckler of Franklin, WI and my former son-in-law, Corey Duberstein of Richland, WA. Further surviving is my brother John (Debbie) Diener of Fond du Lac. Surviving in-laws include; Jack (Cindy) Duel of Eldorado, Marge Williams of Oshkosh, Scott (Monica) Duel of Eldorado, Joan Duel of North Fond du Lac, Terry (Sue) Duel of Fond du Lac, Jeff (Sandy) Duel of Eldorado and Mark (Debbie) Duel of Rosendale. I was preceded in death by my parents, my brother Chuck and his wife Shirley, my in-laws Roy and Doris Duel, my brother-in-law Joe Duel and my nephew, Adam.



My god-children are very special and I love them; Pam Giebel, Nick Kinyon, Dani Zastrow and Kevin Duel.



My best friend at work is Diane Gibson, for where you see one, you would see the other. My best friend Marty was my shopping buddy.



I want to thank all the staff at the Agnesian Cancer Center; everyone is wonderful. I want to thank all the friends, neighbors and relatives who kept us fed and gave us anything that we needed. Special thanks to Sandy Duel who helped me get through this journey.



Visitation for Mary will be held Sunday, April 26, 2015 from 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave. in Fond du Lac. Service will follow the visitation with Rev. Dean Desilet presiding. Private family burial will take place Monday, April 27, 2015 at the Rogersville Cemetery.
