Mary L. Schneider

Mary L. Schneider, 69, passed away on Monday, January 22, 2018 at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac. She was born in Fond du Lac on March 17, 1948 to Ralph and Elsie (Fiebig) Schmitz. On September 9, 1963, she married William “Bill” Schneider. He preceded her in death on March 25, 2017.



Mary loved to garden, work in the yard and spend time with her family. She always put everyone first. Mary and Bill’s home was always the gathering place for their children, grandchildren, nephews and nieces. She was employed at Wells Manufacturing and later at Consultants Lab.



Mary is survived by 3 children, William “Bill” (Cindy Iwen), Brad (Kristin Santini) and Jody (Mike) Wegener, all of Fond du Lac; 5 grandchildren, William (Teri) Schneider, Kiela Schneider, Kassandra Beesley, Amber Schneider and Katrina Wegener, all of Fond du Lac; 6 great-grandchildren, Jayden, Brayden, William, Athena, Alivia and Lauren; and 2 siblings, Richard (Florence) Schmitz of Fond du Lac and Kathy Stubbe of Cherokee Village, AR. In addition, she is survived by 4 brothers-in-law, Dave Kwakkel of Brandon, Dave (Kathy) Schneider of Nekoosa, John Schneider and Aaron (Debra) Schneider, all of Fond du Lac; and 3 sisters-in-law, Audrey Altman, Patricia Reinke and Debra (John) Hefter, all of Fond du Lac. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Elsie; her husband, Bill; son, Brett; granddaughter, Jessica Schneider; 3 siblings, Karen Kwakkel, James Schmitz and Kenneth Schmitz; and 2 brothers-in-law, Ronald Reinke and James Stubbe.



Visitation will be held Saturday, January 27, 2018 from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave. in Fond du Lac. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM with burial in Rogersville Cemetery to follow the services.
