Mary L. Silah, 57, of 258 McKinley Street, died Wednesday, April 26, 2006, at St. Agnes Hospital. She was born March 24, 1949, in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Donald and Marie Kraemer Luby. On August 18, 1984, she married Gary Silah in Fond du Lac. Mary attended St. Joseph's Grade School and was a 1967 graduate of L.P. Goodrich High School. She was a past President of the Fond du Lac Lioness Club and a member of the Phoenician Daughters. She enjoyed being "Aunt MeMe" to her nieces and nephews, crafting, her home, and going for rides.Surviving is her husband, Gary, her mother, Marie Luby McCrory of Fond du Lac, four sisters, Connie (Bob) Bisson, Kathy (Jim) Nett, and Sandy (Gary) Rathman, all of Fond du Lac, and Sharon (Kevin) Crowley of Goodman, WI, and a brother, Jim (Shirley) Luby of Fond du Lac. Her Godchildren, Tom Nett, Renee Rathman, Riley Crowley, and Hannah Van Gorder further survive her. Also surviving is her step-mother-in-law, Mary Lou ("Doc") Bartelt of Fond du Lac, and two brothers-in-law, John (Karen) Silah of Fond du Lac, and Rick Silah of Milwaukee. Her father, maternal and paternal grandparents, her father and mother-in-law, Dick and Helen Silah, and a nephew, Troy Silah, preceded her in death.
Visitation for Mrs. Mary L. Silah will be on Friday, April 28, 2006, from 4 to 7 pm at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Liturgy of the Word for Christian Burial services will be at 7 pm at the funeral home on Friday. Deacon Ricardo Munoz will officiate and private family burial services will be on Saturday morning in Calvary Cemetery. A memorial has been established in Mrs. Silah's name.
