Mary Patricia “Pat” Colton, 84, of Fond du Lac, went to her heavenly home Saturday, December 12, 2015 at Hospice Home of Hope. She was born March 10, 1931 in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Henry and Marlea Boland Fox. Pat graduated from St. Mary Springs Academy in 1949. On April 21, 1951 she married Roderick “Bob” Colton and he preceded her in death on September 11, 1996. Pat was a member of Holy Family Parish and a past member of Irish History Club and the Fond du Lac Lions Club. For several years Pat enjoyed her time with children at Waters School, as a Grandma helper through ADVOCAP. She spend her time as a homemaker and later in life she had fun jobs at Karl Ray Lanes, the Elks Club, and doing food demonstrations at local stores. Pat enjoyed reading, flowers, music, and eating out with friends and family.
She is survived by six children, Gary (Elaine) Colton of Fond du Lac, Laurie (Greg) Provo of New Richmond, Linda (Steve) Fisher, Mark (Erin Stahl) Colton, Lisa (Jeffrey Oelke) Colton, Steve (Maggie) Colton, all of Fond du Lac; 13 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Patterson and Joan Coyle; one brother, Robert Fox; and one sister-in-law, Frances Templin. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bob; sisters, infant Ruth Fox and Jeanette Koehn; brothers, Henry “Junior” Fox and David Fox; and a special niece, Kathy Coyle.
The visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and again on Thursday from 10:00 – 11:00 am at church.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, December 17, 2015 at Holy Family Church, 271 4th Street Way. Entombment will follow at Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park.
The family would like to express our thanks to the staff at Manor Care and Hospice Home of Hope for the love and care shown us and our mother.
In honor of Pat, memorial contributions may be made to the family to be distributed to the support of Alzheimer’s research and Hospice Home of Hope.
