Mary Lou Rost

Mary Lou Rost, age 86, of Fond du Lac, died Sunday, July 8, 2024, at Harbor Haven Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on August 17, 1937, in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Norbert and Luella (Collins) Neis. She graduated from Goodrich High School. On July 26, 1966, she married Delmer D. Rost at Church of Our Saviour in Fond du Lac. He preceded her in death on November 12, 1977. Mary Lou was a member of Church of Our Saviour where she was a Sunday school teacher for over 40 years. She was the co-owner of Grandma’s Kitchen in North Fond du Lac. She later went on to work at McDonald’s. Mary Lou enjoyed knitting, reading, and spending time with her dog Ladi. She loved the outdoors and going up north to Crivitz. 

 Survivors include her daughter, Terri (Bob) Atkins; grandchildren, Danielle (Ty Trewin) Skrenes, Devin Emmer, Dean (Bobbi Jo) Rost-Tiedt, Robert (Taylor) Ryan, Tonisha Atkins, Tannen Atkins; great-grandchildren, Anna, Avarie, Nova, Alayna, Logan, and Anabell; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one brother, Norbert Jr. 

Visitation will take place on Sunday, July 14, 2024, from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 4:00 PM at the funeral home. Cremation will follow the traditional service.
