Matthew John Rauls

Matthew John Rauls Jr., 87 of Fond du Lac passed away Monday May 27, 2013 at St. Agnes Hospital with his family at his side. He was born September 17, 1925 in Fond du Lac, a son of Matthew John and Susan (Eiteneuer) Rauls. Matthew left high school to proudly serve his country during World War II. When the war was over he returned and graduated. On October 14, 1949 he married Marion Finn. During his more than 30 year employment with Rueping Leather, he also sold and installed flooring in the evenings to provide for his family. Matthew served as a Boy Scout Leader for many years and also volunteered for Hospice Hope in Fond du Lac. He loved hunting and fishing with his family and being outdoors. He knew how to fry fish and he knew how to grow tomatoes. Matthew and Marion were blessed with 4 children; Joseph, Peggy, Amy (Bobby) Peachy and Jennifer (Robert) Zwicky; by 9 grandchildren, Christina Brossard, Patrick and Joshua Rauls, Danny, David and Doug Collver, Matthew Rauls and Hannah and Hailey Zwicky; and by 6 great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers and sisters; his loving wife and his son Joseph.



Visitation: Family will receive relatives and friends Saturday June 1, 2013 from 10:00 to 12 noon at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, Fond du Lac.Services: At 12 noon a memorial service will take place at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home with Rev. David Mundt officiating.
