Matthew M. "Matt" Rodencal

Matthew M. “Matt” Rodencal, 56, of Fond du Lac, passed Sunday, March 16, 2025, at SSM’s Hospice Home of Hope. He was born in Fond du Lac on December 12, 1968, to Gerald and Dorothy (Freimark) Rodencal. On August 12, 2002, Matt married Christine “Chris” Graf in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.

Matt loved to celebrate with friends and family, traveling to New York or somewhere beautiful in Mexico. He passed his time putzing with his cars and motorcycle, kayaking, or working on a project. Matt was always able to strike up a conversation with a stranger no matter where he went. He was loving, kind, creative, and thoughtful.

Survivors include his wife, Chris Rodencal; son, Devon Rodencal; father, Gerald (Barb) Rodencal; mother, Dorothy Olig; and four siblings, Sherry (Steve) Maass, Gene Olig, Jr., Gerald (Kim) Rodencal, Jr., and Chris (Don) Winke. Matt was preceded in death by his step-father, Gene Olig, Sr., and a nephew, Eli Maass.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 22, 2025, at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow, beginning at 2:00 PM with Pastor Paul Osterholm, Sr. officiating. Cremation has taken place.
