Maureen Giese

Maureen Giese (nee Roberts), 70, formerly of Fond du Lac and currently of Milwaukee, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at St. Mary’s Ozaukee Hospital. She was born in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin on October 9, 1946, the daughter of Hugh and Marian (nee Grimes) Roberts. Maureen attended St. Joe’s Elementary School and St. Mary’s Springs Academy in Fond du Lac. She went to college at UW – Milwaukee. On June 22, 1968, she married Robert Giese at St. Mary’s in Fond du Lac. Together they shared 49 wonderful years of marriage. Maureen was a social worker, real estate broker and an inspirational second mom to many, many children. She will be remembered for always coming up with the perfect ideas and ways to make parties and family gatherings special.



Maureen was preceded in death by her parents, Hugh and Marian (nee Grimes) Roberts and her parents-in-law, Ervin and Laverne Giese. She was survived by her beloved husband, Robert. Her children, Elizabeth (Chad) Crosley of Oswego, IL; Todd (Stacy) Giese of Brown Deer; and Megan (Kevin) Condon of Grafton. She was further survived by her five grandchildren, Ryan and Tyler Crosley; Alexis Giese; and Patrick and Caitlyn Condon. Also survived by many relatives and friends.



The visitation will be held from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home in Fond du Lac. At 10:00 AM on Wednesday, June 21, there will be a short visitation before the funeral mass at 10:30 AM at St. Fridolin Church in Glenbeulah (210 Dillingham Street). Burial will follow in St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery in Greenbush (7500 Plank Road).
