Maurice D. Greene

Maurice D. Greene, age 78, of Brownsville, died Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at St. Agnes Hospital following a brief illness. He was born on December 20, 1932 in the Town of Eldorado, the son of Cornelius and Frances (Ziegert) Greene. On November 16, 1957 he married Darlene Gerhartz at St. Mary's Church in Fond du Lac.Maurice was a dairy farmer all his life. He owned and operated Green Acres Stock Farm. He enjoyed driving tractor, and all aspects of farming, and his favorite pastime was going to auctions. He liked to listen to and dance polkas and playing cards. Maurice liked to watch Lawrence Welk and Wheel of Fortune. He was a member of Family Dairies, Lomira FFA Alumni, and the We Love to Dance Club.SURVIVORS: his wife Darlene of Brownsville, five children, Cheryl Greene of Waukesha, John (Kim) Greene of Brownsville, Sharon Greene of Fond du Lac, Michael (Mary) Greene of Brownsville, Sherry (Gerry) Birschbach of North Fond du Lac, one granddaughter, Melanie Greene of Brownsville, four sisters, Colleen (John) Usher of Fernley, NV, Geraldine Golden of Agoura, CA, Karen Pahnke of Oneida, WI, and Jean (Dan) Sylvester of Eldorado, WI, sisters in law, Janice (Dave) Kuen and Lenore Gerhartz both of Fond du Lac, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his parents.



VISITATION: Sunday, May1, 2011 from 3-8 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave, Fond du Lac. FUNERAL: Monday, May 2, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park, N6250 County Trunk K, Fond du Lac. Friends may call on Monday at the Mausoleum from 12 noon until the time of services.
