Maurice W. "Morrie" Pose

Maurice W. "Morrie" Pose, 78 of Fond du Lac, died Sunday, May 6, 2012 at Froedert Memorial Lutheran Hospital, Milwaukee. He was born in Fond du Lac on March 7, 1934 the son of William and Rose DuFrane Pose. On June 30, 1956 he married Marilyn J. Wagner at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Fond du Lac. Maurice joined the Red Arrow Division of the National Guard serving from 1952 to 1961. In 1957 with his brother-in-law, Ralph they founded Bostwick Pose Accountants, Inc. until 1996 when it was purchased by a special family friend, Tracy Lindgren and is now called Lindgren-Lester & Company, Inc. Maurice was semi-retired. He was a member of Holy Family Parish, Knights of Columbus Council No.664, Fond du Eagles Aerie No. 270, National Society of Accountants, American Legion Post No.2930. Maurice and Ralph Bostwick formed the first Monday Night Businessman's Golf League in Fond du Lac. He enjoyed hunting, golfing, bowling, gardening, and watching and feeding the birds and squirrels. SURVIVORS: wife Marilyn Pose, Fond du Lac, a son James (Shari Wydeven) Pose, Fond du Lac, four grandchildren Miranda (Chris) James, Danielle (friend Matt Brehmer) Hodorff, Josh Hodorff, and Ashley (Sean) Scheuers all of Fond du Lac, four great-grandchildren Makenzee and Bryson Scheuers, Haley James and Kaeden Hodorff, two nieces Nanci (Tom) McGray, Fond du Lac, Laura (Bill) Meeks, Viroqua, two nephews Ron (Kathy) Mumm, Fond du Lac and Stephen (Carol) Bostwick, Fond du Lac. Maurice was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Audrey Bostwick and Shirley Freidig, three brother-in-laws Ralph Bostwick, Bob Freidig, and Bill Mumm, one niece Linda (John ) Gitter, one nephew Michael (Sherry) Bostwick.



VISITATION: Friends may call on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 from 4 to 8 PM at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and on Thursday at the funeral home from 9:30 to 10: 30 AM.FUNERAL: Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM at the funeral home and a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM at Holy Family Parish- Sacred Heart Church. Cremation will follow the traditional services with inurnment in Calvary Cemetery.A Memorial Is Being Established.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
