Melda M. Ollerman, 93, a resident of the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home, died Friday, January 12, 2007, at the home. She was born the daughter of William P. and Ella M. Jeske Kramer on August 23, 1913, in Sherrill, Iowa. On June 1, 1943, she married Wilbert "Bill" G. Ollerman and he preceded her in death on September 1969. Melda graduated from Ripon High School in 1931. She attended Fond du Lac County Normal School from 1932 to 1933. She then continued her education at Oshkosh State Teacher's College. She taught in Fond du Lac County for 43 years until her retirement in 1976. Melda was a member of the Retired Teachers Association for many years. She was also a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church since 1949. She enjoyed reading, singing, playing trivial pursuit and spending time with her pet dog "Tina." SURVIVIORS: one sister, Lorraine More, Lomira; two brothers, Elden (Connie) Kramer, Fond du Lac, Dale (Ellen) Kramer, Hudson, WI; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters and two brothers.
VISITATION: will be held from 3pm "“ 4pm on Friday, January 19, 2007, at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 4pm on Friday at the funeral home with Rev. Bruce Pangborn officiating. Private inurnment will be held at Ledgeview Memorial Park. Cremation has taken place."The family wishes to give a special thank you to the staff of the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home and Heartland Hospice for their care and compassion given to Melda."Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
