Merrill P. Hintz

Merrill P. Hintz, 78, formerly of 199 West Arndt Street and a resident of Villa Loretto Nursing Home, Mount Calvary for the past 4 years died Thursday, March 29, 2007. He was born June 1, 1928 in Oshkosh the son of Herbert and Maude Gehrke Hintz. On February 6, 1961 he married Milene L. Post in Illinois, she preceded him in death on March 15, 1997. Merrill worked and retired from Rueping Leather Company. His passion was NASCAR, he enjoyed deer hunting, long Sunday drives, and fishing. He was a friend of the Cathedral of St. Paul, and a member of Fond du Lac Eagles Aerie No. 270. Merrill is now in Heaven with the love of his life, Milene.He is survived by eight children, Katie Meltz, California, Gary (Connie) Hintz, Utah, Ruth Ruby, Oshkosh, Carol (Mike) Woodcock, California, Jackie Prince, Fond du Lac, Annette (Kevin Jeter) Hintz, California, Larry (Nancy) Hintz, Oshkosh, Tracy (Special friend Glen Thompson) Pausma, Fond du Lac; twenty-four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Louis (Shirley) Hintz, Omro. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; son, Steven; daughter, Cheri; an infant grandson; and a son-in- law, Jerry Pausma.



Visitation will be on Saturday, March 31, 2007 from 12: 00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M, Saturday, March 31, 2007 at the funeral home. The Very Rev. Theodore McConnell will officiate. Cremation will follow the traditional services.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
