Merry A. Marcoe

Merry A. Marcoe, 73, of Fond du Lac, died Monday, January 13, 2025 at St. Agnes Hospital. She was born December 22, 1951 in Beaver Dam, the daughter of William and Barbara (Chapman) Schneider Haase. Merry graduated from Goodrich High School in 1971 and earned her LPN certificate from Moraine Park Technical College. On February 3, 1973 she married Daniel J. Marcoe at Salem United Methodist Church.

Merry worked at Care Center East, Grancare, and Rolling Meadows Nursing Homes until going to work for the Dartmoor Motel until 1988. She also owned along with her husband, Marcoe Recycling. She was a life long member of TOPS. Merry enjoyed camping, bowling, shaking dice, playing bingo, and going to the casino.

She is survived by her husband, Dan; one daughter, Danielle (Loren Quinn) Marcoe; grandson, Steven Sabel; one brother, Fred (Debbie) Haase; two sisters, Sharon Haase and Peggy (special friend, David) Parpart; five sisters-in-law, Barb (Mike) Hoerth, Gail Stallone, Carol Weisenburger, Janet Smart, and Gloria (Kyle) Wondrash; her very best friend, Sandy Sandberg; nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Kathleen (Don) Nehmer; and father and mother-in-law, Roy and Grace Marcoe.

The visitation will be held Monday, February 3, 2025 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be held in Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established for a memorial tree to be planted in Merry’s name.

The family extends a special thank you to St. Agnes Hospital ICU nurses and staff and Sandy Sandberg, for the care and compassion given to Merry.
