Michael J. Breister

Michael J. Breister, 76, of Green Lake, died Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at his residence.  He was born February 11, 1947 in Fond du Lac, the son of John “Jack” and LaVerne (Hallman) Breister.  Michael graduated from Goodrich High School.  He was co-owner of Barth Music in Fond du Lac and music director for Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Green Lake.  Mike Breister Trio played at the Heidel House entertaining guests for over 20 years and he was instrumental in creating the Heidel Honeys.  Mike also was Santa Claus for many years.  He enjoyed sailing, fishing, traveling, casino trips, going out to eat, and loved living on Green Lake.  He also loved visits with his family’s dogs.

He is survived by three brothers, Patrick (Sandra) Breister, Mark (Mary) Breister, and Jim (Mary) Breister; nieces and nephews, Michelle (Mike) McClone, Tina (Krystal Westfahl) Breister, Benjamin Breister, Brian (Christine) Breister, Beckie (Todd Goodwin) Marcoe, John (Samantha) Breister, Jack (Kristen) Breister, and Jamie (Evan) Dahl; many great nieces, nephews, and other relatives.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

The visitation will be held Wednesday, December 6, 2023 from 3:00 – 6:00 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be held at 6:00 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home.  Cremation will follow the services with private family inurnment in Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in Mike’s name at Lakeside Park.
