Michael E. Griese

Michael E. Griese, 65, of Fond du Lac, died Saturday, July 20, 2024, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison. He was born March 8, 1959, in Fond du Lac, the son of Ervin and Yvonne (Lipke) Griese. Michael was a conductor for Canadian National until his retirement in 2022. He enjoyed fishing, throwing horseshoes, and loved spending time with his daughter and grandchildren.

He is survived by his daughter, Shannon (Joseph) Gremminger; four grandchildren, Ty, Isiah, Hunter, and Lillian; his former wife, Barbara (Robert) Mueller; sister-in-law, Debra (Danny) Nell; and Rhonda (Jake) Calkins who was like a daughter to Michael; several nephews, other relatives, friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and stepfather, Richard Seffern.

At Michael’s request, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2024 beginning at 3:00 PM at the American Legion, 500 Fond du Lac Avenue, Fond du Lac, WI 54935.
