Michael Henry “Mike” Cook, 57, of Fond du Lac, passed away on Sunday, May 14, 2017.
Mike was born June 16, 1959 in Keshena, WI the oldest son of Ione (Rabideaux) and the late Albert John Cook Sr. He mostly grew up in Green Bay, WI. He joined the U.S. Navy at age 17 and graduated from Honolulu High School in Honolulu, Hawaii while in the service. He was a proud Vietnam Veteran who liked to share stories about his time on the USS Whipple from 1977-1979. Upon returning from the military he moved to Two Rivers, WI where his parents were living and where he raised his children. Mike was a lover of arts including music and was an avid guitar, flute and drum player. He was also a very gifted artist. He cared deeply for Native American culture and shared that passion with his children and grandchildren. Mike loved the Green Bay Packers and was a die-hard Chicago Cubs fan who was beyond ecstatic that he got to see them win the World Series last year. Mike was always very positive and very silly who loved to playfully pick on his children, grandchildren and just about everyone who he came into contact with. Mike was the kind of guy who would do anything for anyone and would give anyone the shirt off of his back if they needed it. Mike also loved to drive his truck the Rumble Bee. He loved to spend time with his entire family and he will truly be missed by all of his friends and family, but it is not good-bye, it’s see you later.
