Michael J. Rock

Michael J. Rock, age 66, of North Fond du Lac, died Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home. He was born on May 18, 1948 in Fond du Lac, the son of Gordon and Marjorie (Carlone) Rock Sr. He was a graduate of Horace Mann High School. Mike served six years in the United States Army Reserve. On June 20, 1970 he married Doreen Brien. Mike’s parents owned Rocky’s Bar in North Fond du Lac where he helped for many years.



Mike worked at Mercury Marine for forty years. He was an avid sports fan. He coached Little League and Babe Ruth. He loved watching his sons sporting events, he played softball and was an avid golfer. He loved watching movies, bowling, playing cards, and going to the casino.



SURVIVORS: his wife Doreen of North Fond du Lac; two sons, Brian Rock of North Fond du Lac, Adam Rock of Jackson; two granddaughters, Kaitlyn and Ashley; mother in law, Gertrude Brien; sister, Carole Stettbacher of North Fond du Lac; brother, Gordon (Linda) Rock Jr of North Fond du Lac; sister in law, Donna Brandt of Hartford; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by parents; brothers in law Gordon Stettbacher, Ronald Brien, John Brandt; father in law Ernest Brien.



VISITATION: Tuesday, May 5, 2015 from 3-7 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave, Fond du Lac, WI, 54935. MEMORIAL SERVICE: Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Cremation has taken place.



The family wishes to thank the staff of the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home as well as the nurses of Agnesian Hospice for the care and compassion that they gave to Michael.
