Michael "Mike" C. Fortunato

Michael “Mike” C. Fortunato, 65, passed away at his home in Sturgeon Bay, WI on Tuesday, July 18, 2017. Mike was born on January 15, 1952, the son of Joseph and Rosemary Fortunato. Mike graduated from Horace Mann High School in 1970 and from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in 1974. During his career he worked in retail and retail management, ending his career as a franchise owner. Mike loved his cocker spaniels and enjoyed driving his corvette.



Mike is survived by his mother, Rosemary Fortunato; four brothers, Joseph Fortunato, Dennis (Patty) Fortunato, Patrick (Diane) Fortunato, and Gerald Fortunato; two sisters, Lenore (Mark) VandeBerg and Kathleen (Daniel) Razner; nieces and nephews, Stephanie (fiancé Terry Sabel) Fortunato, Scott (Andrea) VandeBerg, Todd (Amanda) VandeBerg, Christopher Fortunato, Jennifer (Ben Schacht) Fortunato, Tiffany (Nathan) Knudson, Jennifer (Matt) Browne, Monica (Andy) Gehin, Michelle (fiancé Nick Meseberg) Jeschke, Kristen Razner, Courtney Razner, and Chad (fiancé Becca Holzer) Naidl; thirteen great nieces and nephews; aunts and uncle Elaine and Ray Bauer and Patricia Hornes; and numerous cousins. Mike was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Fortunato; grandparents, James and Nora Keenan, and Charles and Catherine Fortunato; and numerous aunts and uncles.



Visitation will take place on Thursday, July 27, 2017 from 9-11 AM at Sacred Heart Church-Holy Family, 200 S. Peters Ave, Fond du Lac, WI, 54935. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow the visitation at church at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
