Michael R. “Mike” Kahut



Michael R. “Mike” Kahut, 69, of Fond du Lac, died peacefully at his home on Tuesday, October 6, 2020 with his family by his side after a short battle with cancer. He was born in Fond du Lac on March 24, 1951 to Adam and Irene (Drefahl) Kahut. On September 28, 1974 Mike married Geri Eisenhat in Lomira.



During his life, Make made a dream come true by building his dream home on the lake. He loved to fish, hunt and take care of his grandchildren. Mike also enjoyed fixing things, frying fish for others and cooking up a storm. He was very proud of his two sons and loved going to the casino in Minocqua every year with Geri. Mike had a passion for gardening and keeping his lawn top notch!



Survivors include his wife, Geri; two sons, Shawn (Nicole) and Corey (Olivia); two grandchildren, Alyssa and Cole; sister, Bonnie (Jerry); brother-in-law, Steve (Darlene); and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.



A private memorial service was held on Saturday, October 10, 2020. Cremation has taken place.



The family wishes to thank both Dr. Lundberg and Dr. Kumar, the staff of Agnesian’s Hospice Hope, and their friends at St. Agnes Hospital all of whom helped in so many ways. A special thank you to Shelly Lancaster who was at Mike’s side throughout his journey.
