Mildred D. BernathMildred D. Bernath, 81, a resident of the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home died Friday, August 27, 2004 at the home. Mildred was born December 13, 1922 in Fond du Lac, a daughter of Oscar and Ethel Kleinke Bassil. On July 9, 1955 she married Anton Bernath . He preceded her in death on March 3, 2000.Mildred was a graduate of Goodrich Senior High School in Fond du Lac. She worked as a clerk for Prange Way for many years. Prior to her marriage she worked for the FBI as a secretary and also worked for Damrow. She was a member of Church of Peace-United Church of Christ and was a Choir Mother when her children were young. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, fishing, country music, and playing Yahtzee. Survivors include four children; Randy (Sharon) Bernath of Eden, Susan (Steven) Nett of Fond du Lac, Nancy (Terry) Steffen of North Fond du Lac, Luann (Joe) Pina of Marshfield, four grandchildren; Daniel Nett of Fond du Lac, Amy Nett of Fond du Lac, Stephanie Nett of Fond du Lac, Samantha Steffen of North Fond du Lac, one great grandson, Odin Nett of Fond du Lac, and one sister; Marge Bennett of Oshkosh. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son; Scott Bernath, and two sisters, Betty Bernath and Ruth Keys.



Visitation: Wednesday, September 1, 2004 from 3-6 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Funeral: Wednesday, September 1, 2004 at 6:00 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Weikel officiating. Cremation will follow traditional services with inurnment at Shrine of Rest Mausoleum. Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is serving the family.
