Miriam V. Scherer

Miriam V. Scherer, age 89, of Fond du Lac, died Sunday, September 11, 2016 at Grancare Nursing Home. She was born on January 28, 1927, the daughter of Karl and Wilhelmina Hammelmann. On April 28, 1950 she married Joseph C. Scherer. He preceded her in death on May 23, 2016.



SURVIVORS: two sons, Dr. Joel (Dr. Anna Maria V. Storniolo) Scherer of Carmel, IN, Jeffrey (Janet) Scherer of Waukegan, Il; grandchildren, Alexander Scherer of New Haven, CT, Peter Scherer of Atlanta, GA, Nicholas Scherer of Carmel, IN; one brother, Dr. William (Loretta) Hammelmann of Lincoln, NE; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Joseph; five brothers and sisters, Herbert, Howard, Helen, Ruth, and John.



Visitation will take place on, Friday, September 16, 2016, from 10:30 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home Home, 524 N. Park Ave, Fond du Lac, WI, 54935. Committal prayers and entombment will follow the visitation at Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum, Calvary Cemetery.
