MONICA ANN COSTELLOMonica Ann Costello, age 88 of Fond du Lac died Sunday, June12, 2005 at the St. Francis Home. She was born on February 27,1917 in Town of Byron, Fond du Lac County the daughter of Daniel A. and Sarah G. Meade Costello. She attended and graduated from Fond du Lac Schools and later attended Green Lake County Normal and later received her Bachelors Degree in Education from Wisconsin State College at Oshkosh. She was a life-long Fond du Lac County resident teaching in rural schools in Dodge and Fond du Lac County's and for over 20 years teaching in Lomira. Monica loved working with and teaching children. She was a 4-H leader and received the state 4-H Alumni Award in 1972. In May of 1965 she received the Youth Award at the Wisconsin Federation Women's Club Convention in Eau Claire for many years of teaching children about conservation and the love of nature. She was a life-long member of Sons of Zebedee Church (formerly St. John's) of Byron.SURVIVOR: a brother, James D. (Betty) Costello, Malone, a sister, Mary Catherine (Leonard) Brown, Watertown, five nephews, Michael (Judy) Costello, Malone, Steven (Gina) Costello, Plainfield, IL, Brian (Christine) Costello, Malone, Reverend Mark Costello, O.F. M. CAP, Chicago, IL, Tom (Sharon) Costello, Fond du Lac, three nieces, Mary Mischo, Fond du Lac, Jane (Doug) Roughn, Madison, and Cathleen (David) Sanders, Watertown. She is further survived by great-nieces and nephews. Monica was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and sister- in-law, John (Alice) Costello, one niece, Susan Costello Petrie, two nephews, Robert Brown and Michael Costello.



VISITATION: Thursday, June 16,2005 from 4-7 P.M. at Sons of Zebedee Church, Byron. FUNERAL: Thursday, June 16,2005 a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 7:00 P.M. at Son's of Zebedee Church, Byron, with Monica's nephew, Reverend Mark Costello, O.F. M. Cap.officiating.
