After raising her family, Mona became a personal caregiver for the elderly in Fond Du Lac for over 15 years. She was also a volunteer at Loaves and Fishes, the Fond du Lac Senior Center Meal Program and ManorCare Health Services for many years. Mona enjoyed making quilts, knitting and crocheting, embroidery, card playing, travel, and reading. She was famous for her flower gardening skills as anyone walking past her 4th St. home would attest and she was thrilled with the newspaper article written by the Fond Du Lac newspaper about her prowess with flowers.

Mona’s family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be sent to the St. Francis Home, 33 Everett St. in Fond Du Lac or to Agnesian Hospice, 239 Trowbridge Dr. in Fond Du Lac.
Monica’s family is greatly indebted to the entire staff of St. Francis Terrace for the kindness and tender care they provided during Monica’s 10 years of residence. Words cannot express adequately all the kindnesses – large and small – shown to her. A very special thanks to her “guardian angel”, Dorothy Kraus, for her help and companionship. We are also indebted to Agnesian Hospice Care for all their care and attention to Mom, especially Andy Land, her palliative nurse, friend, and confidant.
