Myra E. Drees, 94, formerly of 18 Clover Lane, North Fond du Lac and Milwaukee, went to her eternal reward on Friday, February 23, 2007 three days prior to her 95 birthday at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home where she had been a resident for the past three years. Myra was born on February 26, 1912 in Beaver Dam, the daughter of Albert and Helena Hedrich Breitkruetz. On September 29, 1934 she married Joseph M. Drees at St. Matthew's Catholic Church, Milwaukee and he preceded her in death in October of 1992. Myra enjoyed gardening, flowers and especially reading. SURVIVORS: one son, Joel Drees, North Fond du Lac; one daughter, Judith Ziemann, North Fond du Lac; two grandsons, Anthony (Tracy) Ziemann, Fullerton, CA and Earl (Tina) Ziemann, Huntington Beach, CA; one granddaughter, Kellie (John) Keller, Huntington Beach, CA; five great-grandchildren, Tara and Tyler Ziemann, Ashly McPeck, Myranda and Marin Keller; one brother, Roland (Elaine) Peters, Milwaukee; a godson, Mark Scott Peters, Milwaukee. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother, Franklin and his wife Dorothy.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 1, 2007 from 1:30 "“ 2 PM at the Chapel of the Flowers, Wisconsin Memorial Park, Brookfield. A memorial service will be held Thursday, March 1, 2007 at 2 PM at the Chapel of the Flowers. Cremation has taken place. "The family extends a special thank you to the nurses and staff of the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home. " Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
