Myra Strebe Burg

Myra Strebe Burg, 100, formerly of 111 4th Street, died Tuesday, February 28, 2006, at All About Life Rehabilitation Center where she had been a resident for the past 1½ year. She was born October 5, 1905, in Calumetville, the daughter of Richard and Elizabeth Theryl Strebe. On June 10, 1936, she married Evan Burg at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church in Johnsburg. He preceded her in death on September 7, 1974. Myra was a homemaker all her life. She enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, and knitting. Her best friend and companion for many years was her cat, Sam. Surviving is her older sister, Myrtle Beyer, 102, nieces and nephews. Her parents, husband, and two sisters, Elsa Huebschman Gilgenbach and Ethel Huebschman preceded her in death.



Visitation for Mrs. Myra Strebe Burg will be on Friday, March 3, 2006, from 10 to 11 am at Holy Family Parish- St. Joseph's Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 am at the church on Friday. The Rev. Patrick Heppe of Holy Family Parish will officiate. Cremation has take place and inurnment of cremated remains will be in Calvary Cemetery.
