Nancy L. Bliss

Nancy Lee Bliss, 87, formerly of Oakfield, died Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at New Perspective in West Bend. She was born April 21, 1937 in Seymour, the daughter of Lawrence and Dorothy (Zuleger) Kroner. On July 19, 1958 she married Chester Bliss at St. John’s Catholic Church in Seymour and he preceded her in death on November 23, 2007. Nancy worked at Wegner’s Office Supply for many years and enjoyed working in the Christmas Shop. She was a member of Sons of Zebedee. Nancy enjoyed reading, was an avid sports fan, and loved spending time with family.

She is survived by four children, Scott (Mary) Bliss of Pewaukee, Leanne (Leo) Sapala of West Bend, Sarah (Steve) Mueller of Pewaukee, and Polly (Craig) Liegel of Green Bay; grandchildren, Ben (Talen) Bliss, Courtney (Paul) Szopinski, Shaun (Dana) Sapala, Nathan (Kim) Sapala, Travis (Colleen) Mueller, Emma Mueller, Sam Liegel, and Max Liegel; two great grandchildren, Nolan and Hannah Sapala. She is further survived by siblings, John (Jeanne) Kroner and Vicki (Rudy) Flietner; sister-in-law, Mary Charters; brother-in-law, David Weber; nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Chester; sisters, Carol (Herman) Cook, Gloria (Glen) Ohm, and Julie Amestoy; sisters-in-law, Joan Weber and Judy (Roger) Sachs; and brother-in-law, Phil Charters.

The visitation will be held Friday, November 22, 2024 from 9:00 – 11:00 AM at Sons of Zebedee, St. James Church in Oakfield. The Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 AM on Friday at church. Private inurnment will be held in Avoca Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the Alzheimer’s Association, Oakfield Food Pantry, or Avoca Cemetery in Nancy’s name.

The family extends a special thank you to the staff of New Perspective and Horizon Hospice for the care and compassion shown to Nancy over the last years.
