Nancy F. (Williamson) Dall passed peacefully on March 31, 2023, at Klein’s Center in Burlington, IA, after a lengthy battle with dementia.
Nancy Fredrica Williamson was born in Windsor, WI, on July 26, 1934, to Ada and Fred Williamson. Nancy was the oldest of three daughters and spent her childhood years in Windsor where she graduated from De Forest High School in 1952. After graduation, Nancy attended Madison Business College where she met the love of her life and husband of Thirty-seven years, Robert “Bob” Dall. Nancy and Bob spent most of their married life in Fond du Lac, WI where they raised their four daughters. Nancy had a long career with Fond du Lac School district where she served as Secretary to four different principles at Theisen and Woodworth Jr. High Schools. She loved her job and her school family and had many lifelong friends. Nancy also loved her church family at Salem United Methodist Church where she was a member for over 40 years. Nancy was active in Salem Choir, the Bell choir and as an organist. Nancy also was a member of the Fond du Lac Women’s Chorus. Nancy came from a long line of musicians often performing with her sisters and father while growing up. She was an accomplished pianist and gave private lessons for many years. Nancy played piano right up to the end, providing comfort to the residents and staff of the nursing home. When Nancy could not find her words, she praised God through her love of playing worship hymns on the piano.
Nancy is survived by her four daughters, Becky (Jeff) Gibson, Bobbie Willis, Sue (Bruce) Dichraff and Amy Friess. Twelve Grandchildren; Ben, Brittany, Jamye, Dani, Alex, Blake, Amanda, Bobbi, Joey, Bethany, Randi and Jackie. Twelve great grandchildren, her younger sister Jane Johnson, 9 nieces and 4 nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and sister, Mary Caldwell. Nancy’s infectious smile, wit and humor will be missed by many. She never stopped bringing joy to others through music and her impact will live on in many hearts. We are all blessed for having her in our lives. The family would like to thank all the care givers over the years; special thank you to Bobbi Friess McKinny for her care in Savannah, Georgia and a special thank you to the staff at Klein Center past and present for their devoted and compassionate care of Nancy in her final journey.
