Nancy J. Scharf

Nancy J. (Sonnenberg) Scharf, of Fond du Lac, passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2008 at St. Agnes Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born September 12, 1952 in Fond du Lac, the youngest daughter of Earl "Turk" and Elsie Pickart Sonnenberg. She graduated from Goodrich High School in 1970. On September 25, 1971 she married Gerald Scharf at St. Joseph's Church, Fond du Lac. She worked at the Retlaw Theater, Lake Park Outdoor Theater, AC Nielsen Company and at Copp's Grocery Store. Nancy volunteered her time at All About Life Rehabilitation Center. In her free time she enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, was an avid reader, collector, and enjoyed watching old movies. SURVIVORS: her husband, Gerald, Fond du Lac; one son, John (Rachel) Scharf, Fond du Lac; one daughter, Sarah Scharf, McFarland, WI; two sisters, Joan Sonnenberg, Fond du Lac, Kathy (Bill) Smeilis, Fond du Lac; one brother, Ken Sonnenberg, Fond du Lac; three sisters-in-law, Nancy (Mike) Kneeland, Fond du Lac, Carol Scharf, San Diego, CA, Joyce Morgan, Fond du Lac; three brothers-in-law, Jim (Judi) Scharf, North Fond du Lac, Ted Scharf, Cathedral City, CA, Mike (Marci) Scharf, Fond du Lac; special friend, Thelma Meinke, Fond du Lac; beloved pet, Cody; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Jean; one brother, Donald; mother-in-law, Dolores Scharf.



A memorial mass will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, January 3, 2009 at Holy Family Church, 271 4th Street Way, Fond du Lac with Rev. Patrick Heppe officiating.
