Nancy J. Waala

Nancy Waala nee Bucholtz, 84, of Waupun, died on Monday, July 12, 2021, at Froedtert Memorial Hospital. She was born on July 27, 1936, in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Arthur and Marion Bucholtz. She attended Winnebago Lutheran Academy and graduated in 1954. She married Eugene Thill in 1954 and they had three children. In 1978, she married Sherman Waala in Wautoma. He preceded her in death in January 2003. Nancy enjoyed bowling and motorcycling. She retired from Social Services in 2001. Nancy also enjoyed reading, and jigsaw and crossword puzzles.



She is survived by her three children, Mitchell Thill, Renee Galle, and Gary (Tracy Mielkie) Thill; four grandchildren, Heather (Jason) Rathman, Jolinn (Dan) Ennis, Daniell Thill, and Alexandria Vesper; five great grandchildren, Ayden, Silas, James, Attalie, and Micah; two sisters, Suzanne Hinterberg, and Linda (Ron) Moore; special friend, Ervin “Don” Steinke; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Clair Engelman; two husbands, Eugene Thill and Sherman Waala; three brothers, Gary, Michael, and Steven (Barb) Bucholtz; and sister, Donna Everling.



The visitation will be held on Monday, July 19, 2021, from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow the visitation at 3:00 PM at the funeral home. Private family burial will occur at West Holden Cemetery, Wautoma, WI.
