Nancy L. (Bak) Stormer

Nancy L. (Bak) Stormer, 77, of Fond du Lac, passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at St. Agnes Hospital. She was born September 27, 1945, in Milwaukee, WI to Louise (Mack) Turban and Ernest Bak. She met her husband, David Stormer, cruising the strip in Milwaukee where they had an immediate spark, connecting through their love for music, dancing, and cars. They married soon after, on August 15, 1964.

Nancy was devoted to her family and cherished her daughters. She loved to sing to them when they were young, with the song “Qué Será, Será” being a regular for comfort and love. In addition, she had seven treasured grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren with two more on the way, as well as her fur baby, Buster, and would want them all to know that she loved them tons and bushels.

Nancy had a degree in fashion and worked in retail marketing for many years, including as a district manager for The Limited. She and Dave loved to travel on their Goldwing and spend time with family. She devoted many years to the Red Hats Society as a queen and was a talented crafter creating hundreds of beautiful, stamped greeting cards. She loved her “Bee Happy Stampers” stamping group, who knew her as “Naughty Nancy” for her fun and sassy attitude.

Survivors include her husband, Dave; daughters Deanne (Bill) Karweik and Dorilynne (Tim) Easterson; sister Tury (Joe) Brandow; grandchildren Justin, Derek, Travis, Nicholas, Devon, Deona and Destonee; great-grandchildren Addison, Elijah, Beckham, Cabella, Lennon, Noah and Woodson, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family including all her stamping friends, particularly her special stamping friend Christine Bertram. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Doug Lampe, and her niece Diedre Lampe.

A gathering will be held from 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM, Saturday, December 3, 2022, at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. A private burial will take place Monday, December 5, 2022, at Highland Memorial Park in New Berlin, Wisconsin.
