Nancy M. Pfalzgraf, 69, of Oakfield, died Monday, November 2, 2009 at her residence after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born January 16, 1940 in Rosendale, the daughter of Alvin and Gladys Smith Ballard. On August 27, 1988 she married Eugene A. Pfalzgraf at St. Stephen's Lutheran Church, Rogersville. She worked for Kiekhaefer Marine, Weinberger's Grocery, Romart Manufacturing, Wisconsin Cheese, U.S. Marine in Hartford from 1986 "“ 1990, owned and operated Across the Street Tavern in Oakfield from 1991 "“ 2000, and the Fond du Lac County Jail from 2000 until her retirement in 2002. Nancy was a member of St. Stephen's Lutheran Church, Rogersville. She was a member of the Oakfield VFW Auxiliary Post 8092 were she served as president for many years and the Fond du Lac Women's Bowling Association. Nancy was also secretary for the Monday Night Late Ladies and Wednesday Night Ladies Bowling Leagues at Karl Ray Lanes for many years where she was also a Youth Bowling Instructor. She bowled several times on WBAY Channel 2 Bowling with the Champs, winning the championship. Nancy enjoyed throwing darts, playing Bingo, gambling, cooking, and loved bowling. She also enjoyed watching her granddaughters sporting events and loved spending time with family.SURVIVORS: her husband, Eugene "Pee Wee" Pfalzgraf; one son, Willard (Linda) Nolan, Oakfield; one daughter, Lisa (Dean) Gitter, Oakfield; four grandchildren, Amiee (special friend, Jeff Drake) Nolan, Jamie Nolan, Taylor Nolan, Austin Gitter; three sisters-in-law, Maggie Ballard, Fond du Lac, Joan Ryan, Oakfield, Linda Holzman, St. Louis, MO; two brothers-in-law, Patrick Howard, Fond du Lac, Jerry (Judy) Pfalzgraf, Fond du Lac; her dog, Benji. She is further survived by the Nolan and Ryan families; many special nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Bev Howard; two brothers, Dale Ballard, William Ballard.



VISITATION: will be from 4 "“ 8 PM on Thursday, November 5, 2009 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and again on Friday from 9:30 "“ 11AM at the church. The funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, November 6, 2009 at St. Stephen's Lutheran Church, Rogersville with Rev. Kimberly Stowell officiating. Burial will take place in Avoca Cemetery, Oakfield.A memorial will be established in Nancy's name.
