Nancy R. Kimpel

Nancy Rae Kimpel, 73, of Fond du Lac, passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 after a short stay at All About Life Rehabilitation Center. She was born February 24, 1943 in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Elmer C. and Leona E. Zickau Horning. She graduated from L.P. Goodrich High School in 1961. On October 19, 1963 she married James O. Kimpel at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church. A lifelong resident of Fond du Lac, Nancy worked at Dana and Worm Drugstore for 40 years; in 1999 she went to work at Rob’s Styling Salon until her retirement in 2008. She also served as an election poll worker for the City of Fond du Lac for 30 years. Nancy enjoyed doing crafts and going to the casino and loved spending time with her family and friends.



She is survived by her husband, James; her daughter, Raelynn (Jeffrey A.) Feucht of Fond du Lac; cousin, Ronald (Lois) Beaudreau of Cable, WI; sister-in-law, Pamela Kimpel Tindall of Texas; lifelong family friends, Denise and John Hendricks of North Fond du Lac, Dawn and James Magdanz of Mt. Calvary, and Terry and Tracy Sandberg of Fond du Lac; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, godchildren, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; father-in-law, Oscar C. Kimpel; mother-in-law, Dora E. Kimpel Shaw; father-in-law, Larry Shaw; brother-in-law, Darrel Kimpel; sister-in-law, Marjorie Kimpel; a very special aunt, Bertha Beaudreau, for whom Nancy took care of for many years.



The visitation will be held from 2:00 – 5:00 pm on Sunday, August 14, 2016 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 5:00 pm on Sunday, August 14, 2016 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Burial will be held Monday in Estabrooks Cemetery.



In lieu of flowers a memorial in Nancy’s name has been established.
