Nancy R. Wuest

Nancy R. Wuest, 74, of Fond du Lac, died Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at her residence. She was born on May 21, 1948, in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Raymond and Ruth (Kimpel) Scherer. Nancy married James Allen Wuest at Church of Peace in Fond du Lac. She was a member of Grace Evangelical Free Church, Fond du Lac. Nancy was a devout Christian who loved reading her bible daily and volunteering at the VBS, where her friend Mary Stephany and her were in charge of crafts. She helped setup and organize the Angel Tree. She loved crafting so much, she owned and operated her own crafting business for many years.



Some of the best memories that Nancy had was going to the dirt track races and visiting Nicolet Shores with her family. She loved to travel to Michigan to visit her sister, go to Wendt’s for Friday night fish fry, bowling with her husband, collecting loons and teapots for display in her home, and most importantly, sleepovers with her great granddaughter. She was affectionately known by her family as “Gigi”.



She is survived by her three children, Raymond (special friend, Judy Hitz) Foote, Cheryl (Louis) Handy, and Janice (Tony) Fiocchi; step-son, Jesse (Sarah) Wuest; ten grandchildren, Cody Foote, Ashley (Brandon) Jardine, Blake (Briana) Zorn, Rebeka Handy, Rachel Handy, Amber Handy, Cheran Handy, Caleb Handy, Crystal (Regen Zemke) Moreau, and Allen Moreau; five great-grandchildren, Annabelle, Jaxson, Elizabeth, Stuart, and Micah; two sisters, Karen Scherer and Linda Parris; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James; granddaughter, Beth-Aven Handy; and brother-in-law, Robert Parris.



The visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM at Grace Evangelical Free Church, 163 East 18th Street, Fond du Lac, WI. The funeral service will follow the visitation at church at 11:00 AM with burial to follow at Ledgeview Memorial Park.
