Neil T. Sobotta

NEIL T. SOBOTTANeil T. Sobotta, age 38, of 235 Winnebago St, North Fond du Lac, died after a courageous battle with cancer on March 4, 2005 at the Hospice Home of Hope. Neil was born on Friday, January 13, 1967 at St. Agnes Hospital to Wayne M. Sobotta and Barbara E. (Pitcher) Sobotta. Neil graduated from Oakfield High School in 1985 and the served in the United States Marines for four years and spent one year in Okinawa. Upon coming home he was employed in construction work. He was a member of the Oakfield Conservation Club for many years and a director for the past ten years. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and preserver of nature. SURVIORS: Neil is survived by his mother, Barbara E. (Ron) Gall of Elcho, WI, one sister, Valerie (Jeff) Rumbuc of Fond du Lac, two brothers, Marcus (Terry) Sobotta of Oakfield, Glenn Sobotta of Fond du Lac, nieces and nephews, Joshua (Jenni) Rumbuc, Nicholas and Holli Rumbuc, Jessica, Wayne, Ashley, and James Sobotta. Neil was preceded in death by his father Wayne M. Sobotta, step father Daniel Conger, maternal and paternal grandparents.



VISITATION: Saturday, March 12, 2005 from 9:30 A.M. to 1:30 P.M. at Sons of Zebedee Church-Oakfield. FUNERAL: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday March 12, 2005 at 1:30 P.M. at Sons of Zebedee Church-Oakfield with the Reverend Michael Petersen officiating. Burial will follow at Avoca Cemetery, Oakfield. Neil will be missed by many. He had a great love for the outdoors and wildlife.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is serving the family.
