Norbert E. WaltzNorbert E. Waltz, 80, formerly of N5827 Ritger Drive, Town of Fond du Lac, died Thursday, November 18, 2004, at Rolling Meadows Nursing Home where he had been a resident for the past two years. He was born November 9, 1924, the son of Emil and Gretchen Erdmann Waltz. On December 2, 1944, he married Elaine Curran in Chicago. Mr. Waltz was formerly employed by Waupun Correctional Institution as a correctional officer for over 20 years, retiring on January 1, 1980. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps having served in the South Pacific during WW II.Surviving is his wife, Elaine, three sons, Randy (Pam) Waltz of Oveido, FL, Michael (Randee) Waltz of Oakfield, and Jon (Gail) Waltz of South Byron, two daughters, Debi Waltz of Panama City, FL, and Gretchen Schmitz of Fond du Lac, nine grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. He is further survived by two stepsisters, Terry (Richard) Fuchs of Tomahawk, WI, and Nancy (Niels) Pedersen, address unknown. Nieces and nephews also survive. His parents and a son, Stephen, preceded him in death.



Visitation for Mr. Norbert E. Waltz will be on Sunday, November 21, 2004, from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Sunday at 6:30 pm at the funeral home. The Rev. Richard Weikel will officiate. Cremation will follow with inurnment in Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery. The family requests that memorials be directed to Hospice Hope.
