Norman C. Halfman

Norman C. Halfman, age 96, died Thursday, February 27, 2014 at St. Francis Home. He was born on May 23, 1917 in Fond du Lac, the son of Edward and Anna (Bersch) Halfman. On September 14, 1940 he married Gladys V. Semrau. She preceded him in death on June 14, 2012. Norman worked at Fred Rueping Company and then for Medelist Company in Oshkosh until retiring in 1982. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #664. He was a member of Holy Family Parish. He was active in Rolling Meadows Golf League until about ten years ago. SURVIVORS: two daughters, Sally (Tom) Barbeau of Fond du Lac, Susan Fryda of Fond du Lac; grandchildren, Jacklyn (Bruce) Roth of Riverside, IL, Jodi (Charles) Falk of Muskego, WI, Allan (Cheryl) Freund of Fond du Lac, Anthony Freund of Fond du Lac, Angela (Michael) Kornacki of Oak Creek, WI, Michelle (Gary) Ellias of Watertown, WI, Cindy Krejcha of Indian Trail, NC; three step-grandchildren, Jeff (Lori) Barbeau of Port St. Lucie, FL, Jody Barbeau of Wauwautosa, and Jill (Richard) Lambert of Fond du Lac, fourteen great-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; one sister in law, Virginia (Ervin) Halfman; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; one daughter and her husband, Sandra and James Pionkowski; two sons in law, Jerome Freund and Roy Fryda; brothers and sisters in law, Adolph (Helen), Lawrence (Dorothy), Clarence (Helen), Ervin; Anthony (Marian), Gregor (Bernice); and one sister, Dorothy (Ralph) Lemke.



VISITATION: Tuesday, March 4, 2014 from 1-2 P.M. at St. Francis Home Chapel, 33 Everett St, Fond du Lac, WI. FUNERAL: Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at St. Francis Home Chapel.
