Oliver Theodore Jacobson, 81, passed away surrounded by love Sunday, June 21, 2015 in Fond du Lac after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. Ozz was born in Brownsville, WI July 24, 1933 the son of Anna Cleberg and Oliver Matthew Jacobson. He was the youngest of three children and survived by: Brother, Harry (Bev) of Brownsville, Wisconsin and Sister, Virginia of Waite Park, Minnesota. After graduating from Mayville High School, he attended the University of Wisconsin in Madison. Ozz left school to enlist in the Army during the Korean War and was stationed in Germany with the Army of Occupation.
Upon returning stateside he joined the family business of Jacobson Farmer Supply. He soon met his beautiful and loving wife, Loraine A. Trott. They were married May 24, 1958. Ozz became an incredible father to three sons: Todd of Rhyll, Australia, Timm (Sonja) of Windsor, WI, and Tedd of Pewaukee, WI and the world’s best grandfather to one grandson, Nicholas of Basalt, CO. The focus of his life was family.
Ozz would like to be remembered for community involvement and family enrichment. Some of his accomplishments include, School Board Member and President, Hunters Safety Instructor, Volunteer Fireman, Mason, American Legion, and Wisconsin State Fertilizer Board. But most of all Ozz loved his time in the north woods.
A visitation will be held on June 30, 2015 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at Pilgrim United Church of Christ, 535 Stow Street, Fond du Lac, WI with the Rev. Ted Drewson officiating. Funeral Service will take place at 1:00 pm. Cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated and can be sent to Pilgrim UCC or the Family.
