Patricia A. Basler

Patricia A. Basler, 89 of Fond du Lac, died Thursday, October 16, 2014 at the St. Francis Home where she had been a resident for the past several years. She was born in Fond du Lac on March 17, 1925 the daughter of Herbert and Ethel Coyne Ottery. On June 16, 1945 she married George A. Basler in Fond du Lac. George preceded her in death on August 28, 2005. Patricia taught elementary education in the Fond du Lac Public Schools retiring in 1985 after 31 years. She was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church and currently a member of Holy Family Parish. She was a member of the Empire Social Club and the Fond du Lac Area Retired Educators Association. Patricia enjoyed playing sheepshead and bingo at the St. Francis Home.



SURVIVORS: Patricia is survived by her son George (Kathleen) Basler, Neenah, four grandchildren, Scott (Dianna Krupp) Basler, Fond du Lac, Jennifer (Brian) Haen, Fond du Lac, Aaron Basler, Neenah, and Ashley (Jacob) Hopfensperger, Neenah, four great grandchildren, Lily and Ethan Basler, Brennan and Brynlee Haen. She is further survived by a sister, Alice Immel ,Dotyville, two brothers, Tom (Jane) Ottery, Waupun and Jerry (Louise) Ottery, Campbellsport, one brother-in-law James (Lucia) Baldauf, Fond du Lac, two sister-in-laws, Natalie Basler, Rosendale and Esther Basler, Fond du Lac. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Carol, one sister Marge Baldauf, one brother-in-law Gordon Immel, and one sister-in-law Mary Ottery.



VISITATION: Friends may call on Monday, October 20, 2014 from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the St. Francis Home Chapel, 33 Everett Street, Fond du Lac. FUNERAL: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 3:00 PM, Monday October 20, 2014 at the St. Francis Home Chapel. Reverend Adrian Staehler will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
