Patricia L. Ott, 77, of Oakfield, died Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at Hospice Home of Hope. She was born July 25, 1937 in Lamartine, the daughter of Franklin and Vivian Woodwiss Guenther. On March 23, 1957 she married Larry O. Ott at Lamartine Methodist Church. Pat was a member of Lamartine Methodist Church and Oakfield United Methodist Church. She was very active in her church, taught Sunday school for many years, was a member of Ladies Methodist Fellowship, and was also a trustee on the church council. Pat was also a member of the Oakfield Fireman Auxiliary and a past 4-H leader. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, knitting, crafting, gardening, hunting, making candy, and baking.
She is survived by her husband, Larry of Oakfield; four children, Allen (MaryAnn) Ott of Redwood Valley, CA, Brian (Jan) Ott of Theresa, Melody (Dale) Post of Oshkosh, and Roxanne (Kelly) Schmitz of Oakfield; eleven grandchildren, Ashley (Trevor) Krizan, Cassandra (Brian) Tetzlaff, Sarah (Jeff) Determan, Joshua (Amanda) Ott, Justin (Megan Wittkowske) Ott, Kadi Ott, Gabriel Ott, Jennifer Ott, Tyler Schmitz, McKenna Post, and Joseph Schmitz; five great grandchildren, Tristan, Kylee, Brianna, Rylee, and Greyson. Pat is further survived by three brothers, William (Gloria) Guenther of Fond du Lac, Harold (Valerie) Guenther of Fond du Lac, and Larry (Betty) Guenther of Oakfield; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.
The visitation will be held from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at Oakfield United Methodist Church, 220 Main Street, Oakfield.
The memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at United Oakfield Methodist Church with Rev. Jim Droste officiating. Cremation has taken place and inurnment will follow in Avoca Cemetery, Oakfield.
In lieu of flowers a memorial will be established in Pat’s name.
