Patricia "Treitsie" Welsch

Patricia “Treitsie” (Assaf) Welsch, 70, of Fond du Lac, passed away peacefully Saturday, February 10, 2018 at her daughter’s home. She was born December 13, 1947 in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Richard and Ella (Fiebig) Assaf. Patricia graduated from L.P. Goodrich High School in 1965. She worked for the City of Fond du Lac and in 1994 retired from the Wisconsin Power & Light. Patricia loved talking with and meeting new people so after her retirement she hostessed at Rolling Meadows Restaurant.



She is survived by her daughter, Julie (William) Beecher of Fond du Lac; five grandchildren, Gaby (Justin Gorgol) Mertes, Alyssa Mertes, Skylar Mertes, Nathan Beecher, Sarah Beecher; four sisters, Dolly (Manis) Mullarkey of Mansfield, TX, Sheila Assaf of Fond du Lac, Mary (Tom) Kunde of Oshkosh, and Lisa Graham of Fond du Lac; one brother, Richard (Maxine) Assaf of Eldorado; nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Barbara VanLuven; and husband, Pete Welsch.



The visitation will be held Saturday, February 17, 2018 from 10:00 AM - 1:30 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 1:30 PM on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Entombment will follow in Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park.



Patricia’s family would like to thank Agnesian Hospice, but especially her nurse, Kate and CNA, Tammy for the wonderful care they provided during her last few months.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Patricia’s name are appreciated to Agnesian Hospice.

Patricia’s bright eyes and mischievous smile will be missed by all who knew her.
