Paul E. SwensonPaul E. Swenson, 72, of N8294 County QQ, Malone, passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2005. He was born on June 11, 1933, in Kenosha, the son of Harry Sr., and Ellen Englund Swenson. He was a graduate of Mary D. Bradford High School in Kenosha. He served with the US Air Force for four years during the Korean War. He was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in 1961, and later received his Masters Degree from the University of Wisconsin-Stout in 1975. Paul married Betty Williams on September 3, 1960, at Union Congregational Church in Waupun. Paul was employed at A.C. Nielsen Company, Mercury Marine, and finished the last 25 years of his employment career at Moraine Park Technical College, where he taught Industrial Marketing, until his retirement in 1993Paul was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, as family was of the utmost importance to him. He was a life member of the Fond du Lac Elks Lodge #57, the Fond du Lac Yacht Club, Fond du Lac Eagles Aerie #270, and Trier-Puddy American Legion Post #75. He was also a long time member of the First Presbyterian Church, serving as an Elder and Deacon.He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Betty; son, Scott (Fiancé Michelle Doro) of Fond du Lac; daughter, Paula (Paul) Walsh of Kiel; and daughter, Kristen (Kenneth) Collins of Sun Prairie. 4 grandchildren; Nick and Brianna Walsh and Vanessa and Ashley Collins also survive him. He is further survived by four step-grandchildren; Evan and Brock Walsh and Douglas and Mallory Collins; as well as two brothers-in-law, Wallace Williams and Warren (Nancy) Williams, and a sister-in-law, Jean Swenson, several nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends. His parents, two brothers, Harry Jr. and Howard Swenson, and a sister-in-law, Esther Williams, preceded him in death.
Visitation for Mr. Paul E. Swenson will be on Thursday, September 29, 2005, from 4 to 8 pm at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, and on Friday, September 30, 2005, from 9:30 to 10:30 am at the First Presbyterian Church. Funeral services will be on Friday at 10:30 am at the church. The Revs. Barbara Carmichael and Tony Farina will officiate. Burial will be in Lake Maria Cemetery, Markesan. Members of Trier-Puddy American Legion Post #75 Firing Squad will conduct military rites. Additional information and guest book may be found at www.ueckerwitt.com.
