Paul "Sparky" H. Schroeder, 89 of 396 East 15th Street, died Thursday, March 29, 2007 at the St. Francis Home. He was born October 12, 1917 in Fond du Lac the son of Henry and Lydia Klawitter Schroeder. In October 1938 he married Dorothy M. Welch she preceded him in death in 1963. He later married Ada Promen in 1968 she preceded him in death in 1996. Paul worked for Tobin Tool & Die as a machine operator for 42 years retiring in 1983.He was a longtime member of the Fond du Lac Noon Optimists, bowled for years in the Fond du Lac Bowling Association and also on the Fond du Lac City All Star bowling team member. Paul attended Immanuel-Trinity Lutheran Church.Survivors include his son Joseph (Judine) Schroeder, Fond du Lac, daughter Mary (Robert) Huberty, Fond du Lac, step-sons, Daniel (Marie) Promen, Fond du Lac, David (Kathy) Promen, Canton, IL, two granddaughters, Jan ( Jack) Knipple, Fond du Lac, Jodi (Rick) Mackie, Fond du Lac, grandsons, two Justin (Angie) Schwartz, Fond du Lac, and Nathan (Special friend Alaina Slominski) Schwartz, Fond du Lac, step-grandson, Brian Promen, Fond du Lac, step-granddaughter, Brenda (Todd) Shawgo, Canton, IL, three great-grandchildren, Jordan Mackie, Tyler and Kelsey Knipple. He was preceded in death by his parents, wives, and two sisters.
Friends may call on Monday, April 2, 2007 from 4 to 6 P.M. at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 6:00 P.M. Monday, April 2, 2007 at the funeral home with Reverend Shari Routh officiating. Burial will be in Ledgeview Memorial Park.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
