Pawn Barber, age 68, passed away on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Hospice Home of Hope in the arms of her devoted soul mate, best friend, and husband, Joel and immediate family, after a six year long battle with brain cancer. Pawn was born in Thailand on April 10, 1950 to Ku and Noo Krongboon. She came to the United States in 1970. Pawn worked at West Bend Co. and Regalware for twenty-nine years. She retired from there in 2007. Pawn married the love of her life, Joel on June 19, 1992. Pawn was an avid fisherman, gardener, taught oriental cooking classes at Moraine Park Technical College and Nicolet College in Minocqua. She loved the outdoors, classic cars and car shows, the Green Bay Packers, ice fishing, snowmobiling, the Northwoods, her husband, her family, and her grandkids.
Survivors include her husband Joel; two children, Bobbie (Deb) Williston of Oakfield, Daniel Williston of Fond du Lac; seven grandchildren, Quentin, Jace, Jac, Vaughn, Colton, Shelby, and Dalton; special friends, Arunee LaShay and Myrna Schmuhl; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ku and Noo; four siblings all of Thailand.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, July 26, 2018 from 12:30 PM until 3:00 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave, Fond du Lac, WI, 54935. A memorial service will follow the visitation at the funeral home at 3:00 PM. Cremation has taken place.
The family would like to thank Hospice Home of Hope and also the Sisters of St. Agnes for the wonderful care of Pawn. They are truly angels of earth.
